$6.57 $9 In stock

Amethyst from Unaweep Canyon, Colorado.

This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection.

We break this stone down with a mortar and pestle. This polish is sheer but builds up beautifully. It will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the source material. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color. The white veining in our swatch photo is the result of nail art and does not occur naturally from this polish.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and will not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Scarlett ★★★★★

Started mixing this into a binder and the color shifts so subtly in the light—it’s like having a piece of that canyon right on the canvas. The mortar-and-pestle grind really gives it a unique, natural texture that I haven’t gotten from commercial pigments.

Sebastian ★★★★★

This amethyst pigment from the Dust to Dust collection is surprisingly versatile. I’ve been using it in a cold-process soap and the sheer color builds up beautifully after a few layers.

Lucy ★★★★☆

The color is a very soft, dusty purple that layers nicely for a sheer wash. I wish the grind was a bit finer for an even smoother mix, but it still adds a nice subtle tint.
