AMETHYST: Unaweep Canyon, CO (Dust to Dust) - Main image
$10.08 $14 In stock

Amethyst from Unaweep Canyon, Colorado.

This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection.

We break this stone down with a mortar and pestle. This polish is sheer but builds up beautifully. It will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the source material. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color. The white veining in our swatch photo is the result of nail art and does not occur naturally from this polish.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and will not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Scarlett Y. ★★★★★

I crushed up a small amount and mixed it with linseed oil, and the sheer layers of color built up to a gorgeous, soft violet tone. Definitely feels more like working with a fine powder than a gritty sand. Perfect for my landscape painting palette.

Scarlett Y. ★★★★★

The color built up beautifully in just two thin layers, exactly as described. I’ve been mixing it with a clear medium for a soft, ethereal glow on my abstract pieces.

Violet E. ★★★★★

I’ve been using this as a sheer wash over a white base, and it builds up to such a lovely subtle shimmer. The fine texture from the mortar and pestle makes it blend like a dream.
