CHRYSOCOLLA: Tucson, Arizona (Dust to Dust) - Main image
$8.96 $14 In stock

Chrysocolla from Tucson, Arizona.

This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection.

We break down this pigment with a mortar and pestle. The polish is naturally colored from the pigment that is broken down and will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the rock. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Alexander ★★★★★

The color from this Tucson chrysocolla is a stunning, soft blue-green that looks natural on the page. I appreciate that it's hand-ground with a mortar and pestle, giving it a lovely, uneven texture.

John H. ★★★★★

I've been grinding this chrysocolla pigment myself and it's amazing how vibrant the turquoise stays even after I mix it with linseed oil. The mortar and pestle process really does make a difference in the texture.

Julian W. ★★★★★

The color is a beautiful, soft turquoise-blue that mixed perfectly with linseed oil for a matte finish. Grinding it myself with a mortar and pestle took a few minutes but felt satisfying, and the pigment stayed true to its raw form.
