CHRYSOCOLLA: Tucson, Arizona (Dust to Dust) (Wholesale) - Main image
$6.39 $9 In stock

Chrysocolla from Tucson, Arizona.

This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection.

We break down this pigment with a mortar and pestle. The polish is naturally colored from the pigment that is broken down and will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the rock. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

William B. ★★★★★

I’ve been mixing this chrysocolla pigment into linseed oil for a painting project, and the soft teal undertone really pops. The fact that it’s hand-ground with a mortar and pestle gives it a slightly irregular texture that feels authentic for a natural earth pigment.

James M. ★★★★★

The dusty teal tone is exactly what I was after, and you can tell it’s been ground by hand—the texture is fine but still has a little grit. It’s a nice reminder that it came straight from Tucson rock.

Avery B. ★★★★★

I've been mixing this chrysocolla into my art projects and the fine, consistent powder from the Dust to Dust collection blends beautifully with linseed oil. The natural color from the Tucson stone gives a unique, earthy tone that I can't find in synthetic pigments.
