QUARTZ: Palmdale, California (Dust to Dust) - Main image
$9.38 $14 In stock

Quartz from Palmdale, California.

This pigment is part of the Dust to Dust collection.

We break down this pigment with a mortar and pestle. The polish is naturally colored from the pigment that is broken down and will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the rock. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Joshua B. ★★★★★

The mortar-and-pestle breakdown gives it such a fine, even texture—way easier to mix than other pigments I've tried. That natural Palmdale color is exactly what I hoped for, warm and earthy without any artificial undertones.

Claire I. ★★★★★

I've been using this as a raw pigment for my handmade watercolors, and the natural color from the crushed quartz is stunning. The texture grinds down incredibly fine with just a bit of elbow grease.

Lily ★★★★★

Ground it with a mortar and pestle myself, the speckled texture really brings out the natural color of the quartz. The matte finish feels raw and authentic, perfect for adding subtle earth tones to my projects.
