$5.87 $8.5 In stock

Quartz from Palmdale, California.

This pigment is part of the Dust to Dust collection.

We break down this pigment with a mortar and pestle. The polish is naturally colored from the pigment that is broken down and will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the rock. This polish contains a small amount of earth mica to enhance the natural color.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Christopher ★★★★★

This pigment ground down so easily with my mortar and pestle, the dust was incredibly fine and vibrant straight out of the bag. The natural color from the Palmdale quartz really comes through once you work it into the medium. Perfect for my next mixed media project.

Daniel ★★★★★

I was honestly surprised how much pigment I got from just a small amount of this quartz—the mortar and pestle broke it down into a really fine, consistent powder. The natural color is earthy and muted, perfect for my mineral paint project.

Kevin N. ★★★★★

The natural color from the broken-down quartz is incredibly rich and vibrant—I mixed it into a resin and the result was exactly what I wanted. Grinding it with a mortar and pestle is a satisfying process, and the fine dust gives a smooth finish.
