$6.12 $8.5 In stock

Yellow Iron Ore from the Wasatch Mountains in Utah.

This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection.

We break down this pigment with a mortar and pestle. The polish is naturally colored from the pigment that is broken down and will have texture as well as larger pieces of pigment present in the polish finish. Each batch will have slight color variations as we use different parts of the rock.

Larger particles will naturally stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function. To forego bronze caps on your order, click here.

Henry T. ★★★★★

Ground it in a little water and the color really blooms—much richer than the dry powder suggests. I've been using it for a small earth pigment project and the fine grind saves me hours of prep time.

Emily ★★★★★

This stuff is surprisingly vibrant once you mix it with a binder—the natural yellow from the Wasatch Mountains gives a warm, earthy tone I didn’t expect. The fine grind from the mortar and pestle makes it blend easily into oil without clumping.

Avery B. ★★★★★

I love how fine the mortar and pestle grind gets this pigment—it blends so smoothly into my cold-process soap batter. The rich yellow from the Wasatch Mountains gives a natural, earthy color that’s exactly what I wanted.
